The wind farm Azov located in the Azov district of Rostov region on the coastline of the Taganrog Bay of the Azov Sea is the first project developed by SOWITEC Russia awarded in the All-Russian renewable energy auction in 2017. The development took five years and the project itself represents an extraordinary example of a successful collaboration between SOWITEC, the government of the region, the administration of Azov district and the Rostov Investment Promotion Agency. The support of the authorities on all stages of the development including securing of the municipal land, grid connection and for the permitting was essential for the realization and success of the project.
